About This Benchmark

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) is composed of

thirty (30) ¡°blue-chip¡± U.S. stocks. At 100-plus years, it is the

oldest continuing U.S. market index. The DJIA has evolved into

the most recognizable stock indicator in the world, and the only

index composed of companies that have sustained earnings

performance over a significant period of time.
