Installing and using Citrix Receiver

Installing and using Citrix Receiver

for Northwest Healthcare employees

What is Citrix?

Citrix is used by Northwest Healthcare to give employees easy access to their applications from any device, anywhere. Citrix runs on PC, Mac, iPad/iPhone, and more.

When applications run they appear “seamless”, or like they are actually running on your computer. This is different from older technologies such as Terminal Services where you would have to log into a full screen desktop to use your applications.

How do I use it?

To connect to the environment and see your applications you need to install Citrix Receiver on the device you wish to use. Below are instructions for the most commonly used devices. Please note that your installation may not be exactly as described below. If you run in to issues feel free to contact the HIT helpdesk for further assistance.
