Michigan CNMP DLL Template Installation Guide

Version 1.0

Overview

The MI CNMP DLL Template is a custom template that can be used in conjunction with MMP to produce reports for use in Michigan. This template takes advantage of the new “DLL” feature recently added to MMP. The template is packaged in an installer that is designed to prompt the user for the location of the MMP custom folder and then copy/register files there.

This document will guide the user through the installation and removal process for the MI CNMP DLL Template.

Prerequisites

Before installing the template users must install MMP and Microsoft Word.

Now would be a good time to uninstall any old versions, duplicates etc. It is highly recommended that you only have one version of MMP on your machine. Check both your program files directory and also go to add/remove programs in your control panel. Then, download the newest version of MMP. Your farm data files will not be lost in this process.

MMP can be downloaded from the following web site:

The template has been tested with MMP 0.301 and 0.31, but it is expected that any version 0.3 or higher should be compatible. When installing MMP please make note of where your custom folder is, as you will need to specify this during the template installation. Below is a typical example of the custom folder location.

C:\Program Files\MMP 0.31\Custom

Microsoft Word

The template has been tested with Microsoft Word 2007 and 2010. Access database is no longer needed to generate the MI CNMP report.
