How to Request MultiMedia Video Services.

The following questions should be asked and answered of video clients before beginning a new video project. These questions are intended to help guide both the client and members of the Multimedia Services team in determining needs, vision and purpose of the desired video.

Please see the Video Production Tiers below. If your video is Tier Three, please answer the following questions and submit the request to MultiMedia Services.

1. Who is presenting the information in this video?

• Outside Consultant

• Multiple Presenters

2. Who is the expected audience?

• All District Personnel

• Limited Audience

• Community

3. What is the intent or goals of this video?

• Instructional

• Informational/Reference

• Professional Development

• Marketing/Launchpad

4. How do you plan to distribute this video?

• Safari Montage

• YouTube

• SupeTube

• Digital Download

• Moodle

5. What is your deadline?

VIDEO PRODUCTION TIERS

For an in-depth explanation of the various tiers/options, please see the Video Standards document.

TIER ONE

• Create quick and simple video productions on your own

• Record videos using PC screen capture software/mobile apps

a.) Explain Everything App for iPad

b.) Camtasia Studio for PC

c.) Direct Upload to Safari Montage

TIER TWO

• Add voiceover to an existing PowerPoint presentation

• Presenters use existing audio recording software

• Multimedia Services team compiles and uploads final product

a.) Record audio using Audacity, Quicktime, or other software

b.) Export audio as an MP3

c.) Send MP3 and PowerPoint files to Multimedia Services team

d.) Edited presentation uploaded by Multimedia Services team

TIER THREE

• Full-assistance video production

• Collaborative effort with Multimedia Services team

• Production meetings required

a.) Field-Based Production

b.) Studio-Based Production
