The plan is for children to paint wooden stars (aligning with existing stars and the Suddaby Stars theme) that will be arranged into constellations. Local artists can also contribute larger pieces. Estimated cost: $1000 - $2000 The group discussed other possible ideas to beautify and traffic calm on Lancaster StreetCFNA expressed support for the project and agree to write a letter of support as required Ross to email Sarah Marsh to inquire about plans for Lancaster Street as they relate to future traffic calming initiativesDCC & DNA updateMary’s job has changed and she will no longer attend CFNA meetings. Instead, she will attend DNA and advise us via those meetings, and CFNA members can still work & communicate with her as required. The DNA is reviewing its terms of references/charter and the new DTKNA continues to develop and engaging downtown citizens.Soccer / CommunikicksThe group discussed the upcoming soccer season, incl. plans to recruit 3 coaches, and other administrative detailsKate to seek possible administrative lead for CommunikicksEnvironmental Skill Share GrantRoss provided an update on planning the environmental skill shares. A subcommittee has been established (Ross, Jen, Susan and Mike Purvis & Shane Mulligan) and has brainstormed possible topics, hosts and administrative detailsThe group discussed next steps for the project (confirming topics & hosts, aligning with other activities, and communicating the spring events in the next newsletter)Ross and the subcommittee to continue to organize the skills share projectBike ParadeThe bike parade will be held on Sunday June 9th at 2pm.
