STATEMENT

23

24

This bill would exempt activities conducted, or that are caused to

25 be conducted, by the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs

26 at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans' Memorial

27 Cemetery from the requirements of P.L.1993, c.106 (C.13:1L-14.1

28 et seq.). That law requires State entities to submit for review and

29 approval compensatory reforestation plans for areas at least one-

30 half acre in size that are owned or maintained by that State entity

31 and are scheduled for deforestation. This bill would eliminate this

32 requirement for deforestation activities at the Brigadier General

33 William C. Doyle Veterans' Memorial Cemetery. This cemetery,

34 located in Arneytown, North Hanover Township, Burlington

35 County, was dedicated in 1986 as a lasting memorial to honor the

36 men and women who have served in the Armed Forces.

EXPLANATION ? Matter enclosed in bold-faced brackets [thus] in the above bill is

not enacted and is intended to be omitted in the law.

Matter underlined thus is new matter.
