Setting up "Home Media Server (UPnP)" to work with Dreambox

Installation

To get started, you must download a program for "Home Media Server (UPnP) and install it on a Windows PC. The software in Russian language can be found here: , in English here: . For the english translation of this guide version 0.72 of Wild Media Server is used.

NOTICE At the moment of writing this guide there is already version 1.10 of this software available. This version also works with Dreambox and the settings are almost the same.

First steps, setting up Media Resources

After you installed and launched the program you see the main windows (photo Nr.2), on the toolbar click the button [Settings]. In the new window you must specify the location of your media resources on your PC for music, movies and photos (photos Nr. 3-7).

NOTICE All the options mentioned in this manual assume the use of "Wild Media Server" in combination with the Dreambox. Sharing media content with other devices require additional settings which are specific to the profile settings for each devices macand ip address. For more information contact the developers of the software.

NOTICE The settings for Internet radio-and television services are not part of this guide. If you want more information about this, please contact the developers of the software.

Manual Tab [ Media Resources ] > [ Service ]. You can configure additional servers here. These items appear in the Dreambox interface when viewing the Media Server (photo Nr. 7).
