? Purpose to prevent the transmission of microorganisms from infected or colonized patients to other patients, hospital visitors and HCW

? Designed to reduce the risk of transmission of microorganisms from both recognized and unrecognized sourced of infection in hospital

? To prevent environment contamination

When to implement?

? Shall be implemented when contact with any of the following are anticipated

? Blood ? Any body fluids ? Mucous membranes ? Non intact skin (includes rashes)

1.Hand hygiene 2.Glove 3.Mask, Eye Protection & Face Shield 4.Gown or Apron 5.Disinfectant & Sterilization 6.Management of soiled / contaminated linen 7.Management of waste 8.Housekeeping & Management of spillage 9.Needles & other sharp 10.Respiratory hygiene & cough etiquette
