Competency Based Completions: Workplace Tasks

LMT31210 Certificate III in Dry Cleaning Operations

Category/type of resource

Assessment and/or recognition processes

Purpose

This resource has been developed to assist RTOs in working with industry to develop training programs to facilitate the implementation of competency based completion for dry cleaning apprenticeships.

The target learner group are people working in dry cleaning operations, mostly in small family-owned enterprises.

Audience

The intended audience for this resource is RTO trainers and assessors who are delivering or planning to deliver LMT31210 Certificate III in Dry Cleaning Operations.

How to use

This document can be used in conjunction with the Sample Training Plan for LMT31210. It contains groups of workplace tasks that represent the typical skills and workplace performance expected when an apprentice successfully achieves competence at various stages of the apprenticeship. There are eleven clusters in the sample training plan for a dry cleaning apprenticeship. However, RTOs and employers can choose to organise the training and assessment sequence in an approach that better suits a specific workplace.

RTOs can use these tasks as a guide to a discussion with employers on the progress of their apprentice in developing their skills towards the competencies as defined in the industry standards for the qualification.

The Sample Training Plan and Workplace Tasks documents are intended as examples to be adapted and customised by individual RTOs to suit local training and industry requirements.
