If you do not attend your court date, the judge will make a decision on your request without hearing from you. o Law enforcement agencies now have 60 days to object to your request. Your DuPage County expungement and/or sealing request has been PREPARED, but you need to take additional steps before you can file your request. Educational certificate needed: You need to attach to your request proof of completion of your educational degree, certification, or diploma that was obtained during your last sentence. This is needed to show you are eligible for waiver of the 3 year waiting period. Drug test needed: You need to attach a clean drug test to your request. The drug test must be a "five panel" screen and must be within 30 days of the date you file your request.

Please refer to the separate "E-Filing Instructions" handout when you are ready to file. If you have trouble EFiling, call the clerk at 630-407-8600 for assistance. To qualify for the FREE filing, you need to file your request on or before November 5, 2021.
