1. Determine mission, vision and purpose.
2. Select Director or Vendor for the program.
3. Support the Program and the Director.
4. Engage in annual performance evaluations of the Director and
the program.
5. Ensure effective organizational planning both short and long
term.
6. Ensure and manage adequate resources effectively.
7. Determine and monitor programs and services.
8. Enhance the organization’s public image.
9. Ensure legal and ethical integrity, maintain accountability and
serve as court of appeal.
10. Recruit and orient new board members and annually assess its’
own performance.
