QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of Bachelor's Degree Valid Indiana State Teacher's License ? Endorsements for Special Education MI or ED school Life

Skills, SMH setting Perform annual case reviews for each student(IEP's) Maintain communication with parents and general education teachers Make program recommendations based on individual student educational needs Provide a classroom environment that enables students with disabilities to make educational

progress Implement functional behavior assessments and behavior plans for individual students Flexible, organized, takes initiative, willing to share ideas

Work respectfully and collaboratively with other team members Exemplary behavior management skills Will train on crisis prevention intervention, behaviors analyses, and developing behavior support

plans

Technology skills for the development of individual education programs Good conflict resolution and people skills JOB DUTIES: Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students'

varying needs Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment Observe and evaluate student's performance and development Manage student behavior by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school Provide guidance and direction to classroom support staff Apply appropriate disciplinary measures where necessary Conduct case conferences (initial and annual) as required

Interpret assessment results for parents and, where appropriate, for students and school staff
