Work and Research Experience

Total research Experience: 1 year 2 months

• Doctoral Researcher, Postgraduate department of Chemistry, Ranchi University, Ranchi, India (March 2006 - Oct. 2009).

• The hydrothermal synthesis, characterization and to study the application of Cu(II), Fe(II), Ni(II) substituted polytungstates and molybdates of Keggin and Anderson type compounds.

• Nine new sodium salts of heteropoly metal oxide of 3d, 4d, 5d elements have been synthesized by the hydrothermal methods and are characterized by different chemical and instrumental techniques

• The effectiveness of sodium salts of the heteropoly metal oxides as catalyst on various acetylation reactions are compared on the basis of the percentage yield. The reaction yields show that the catalytic efficiency of the Anderson anion [Cu M6 O24]-10 is more efficient than that of the Keggin type anion [Cu Ni M11O40]-10

• Research Assistant at National Metallurgical Laboratory (A unit of scientific and industrial research CSIR), Jamshedpur, India (Sep 2002- Nov 2003).

• Production of metal powders from Copper bleed electrolyte

• Extraction methods in metallurgy such as electrolysis, Hydrogen reduction and chemical precipitation and solvent Extraction methods.
