House Bill 397

The Task Force consists of the following members:

1) two members of the House of Delegates from the Eastern Shore, appointed by the Speaker of the House; Delegate Jeannie Haddaway-Riccio, Delegate Rudolph Cane

2) one member of the Senate of Maryland from the Eastern Shore, appointed by the President of the Senate; Senator Richard Colburn

3) the Secretary of Human Resources, or the Secretary’s designee; Cathy F. Mols, Executive Director of the Social Services Administration, DHR

4) the Comptroller, or the Comptroller’s designee; Len Foxwell, Deputy Comptroller

5) the Director of the local departments of social services from each of the counties on the Eastern Shore, or the Director’s designee;

Dina Daly, Caroline County Department of Social Services (DSS)

William McDonnell, Dorchester County DSS

Kerry Ahearn-Brown, Kent County DSS

Virginia Ingling, Queen Annes’s County DSS

Patricia Mannion, Somerset County DSS

April Sharp, Talbot County DSS

Paula Erdie, Wicomico County DSS

Pete Buesgens, Worcester County DSS

6) one representative from the Business Economic and Community Outreach Network unit of the Perdue School of Business at Salisbury University; Memo Diriker, PH.D.

7) a director of the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) organization of the Eastern Shore or the director’s designee; Carolyn Cordial, Director of Lower Shore CASA

8) two foster parents from the Eastern Shore, appointed by the Governor. Cheryl Krebeck, Yvonne Freeman

c) The Governor shall designate the chair of the Task Force. Cathy F. Mols, Executive Director of the Social Services Administration, DHR

d) The Department of Human Resources shall provide staff for the Task Force. Susan Coppage, Special Assistant to the Executive Director
