Adult Living Distance Learning Activity, March 16thOverview: We have learned about the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens, Finances, Wellness, and Cooking. Please take some time to work on these skills by selecting activities from the choice board. All of these activities are relevant to you and your family (bonus!). Estimated Time: Approximately 45 minExplanation: Your goal is to select an item from the choice board and complete one activity each day. Upload a picture or comment to canvas under today’s date. Materials that are Needed: Computer, phone, or access to your kitchen. Things to know: You only need to select one activity each day. You can select the same activity more than once. Enter your photos or word document/reflection to canvas. There is an assignment for each day starting with March 17th. You may repeat your selections.Tasks/Independent Practice Activity: Use this board to select an activity to do each day. Use a meditation app like stop, breate, and think or calm or headspace. Write a reflection about how you felt before/after. Select one of the recipes that we made in class and make it at home. Upload pictures to canvas. Organize your room or any room in your house. Use the Marie Kondo method (google any video from Marie for more tips). Upload a before and after picture.Create a recipe book of your favorite recipes. Take a picture of it and upload it to canvas. If you do this, you can upload updates to your book daily. This does not have to be done in one day. Make dinner for your family and upload three photos to canvas. Go for a walk. Simple. Easy. Effective! Write about where you went and how you felt when you returned. Pick your own activity that relates to living on your own. Make it relevant to you. Write about it and upload to canvas. Make breakfast for the family and upload three photos to canvas.Make a homemade snack bar to replace your current processed food/snack bar. Upload photos to canvas.Make a recipe in a mug. Upload photos to canvas. Bake food for a friend and write a note. Upload photos to canvas. Call a family member and get a family recipe. Upload the photo to canvas. Call a grandparent, aunt, or uncle and interview a family member. Write down some stories from their lives. Upload that document to canvas. Select a family recipe and make it for your family.Random act of kindness – do something nice for someone. You don’t have to share what you said, but let me know that you wrote a note and who it was to. Make a to-do list for the week. Upload the list to canvas. Continue to keep a gratitude journal.
