Ann & Chuck Dever Regional Park Recreation Center is a new state of the art multi-purpose recreation center. This center features a multipurpose gymnasium with six basketball goals, lined for four pickleball courts and two volleyball courts, two multi-purpose rooms perfect for your next meeting, family reunion, party or wedding reception, a fitness room featuring cardio equipment, universal weight machine, and changing rooms, and a community garden. Outdoor amenities include a cricket/multi-purpose field, tennis courts, basketball courts, playground, skate park, picnic pavilion, football fields,18 hole disc golf course, heated swimming pool and dive well, splash pad, nature trails, dog park and restrooms.

Flex-N-Go Thursday, 9 to 10 a.m. (start date TBD) $2 drop-in fee This instructed program will increase muscle strength, improve balance, and coordination.

Charlotte County "Fit for Life" Senior Games March 1?31 Charlotte County "Fit for Life" Senior Games provides a fulfilling and rewarding experience for all. Our Olympic-style event focus on athletic competitions, camaraderie, and recreation opportunities for athletes 50 years of age and up! Games are sanctioned by the Florida Sports Foundation and serve a as qualifier for the Florida Senior Games State Championships. Open to amateur athletes, 50 years of age and over as of December 31, 2021, regardless of residency. Registration begins January 2, 2021. Entry fees are payable in advance by check, cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover & Diners at any Charlotte County Recreation facility with completed form. Youth Sports Program Thursdays, Sept. through May Sprouts (Ages 4?6) 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. Rookies (Ages 7?10) 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Champs (Ages 11?14) 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. $30 per child, $15 per additional child in the same family These four-week sports programs are offered to learn the basics of the sport in an age appropriate setting. Parent participation is encouraged. Programs included are Basketball, Flag Football, Mini Golf, Soccer, T-ball, Tennis & Volleyball.

FAMILY PROGRAMS

Thanksgiving Basketball Shootout Saturday, November 21, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Register by November 19 $5 per team Ages 7 and up Teams of two will try to make the most baskets from three different spots on the court. Parent/child will be group by the child's age. The best combined score of parent and child per age group wins. Each team can be a combination of parent/guardian 18 years or older. Don't miss out on this fantastic family program.

Adaptive Recreation Program Sunday, 1 to 2:30 p.m. $2 drop-in fee Ages 7 and up This recreation program is designed for all levels of abilities and participation from the whole family. Adaptation will be made for everyone's leisure enjoyment and safety. The following adaptive programs will be offered in our gymnasium: basketball, kickball, obstacle course, soccer, various family fun games, and much more. This adaptive program has potential for growth. Our commitment is to meet the social and leisure needs of all that live in our communities.

Youth Open Basketball Times vary Ages 17 and under $2 per person, 6 month and yearly memberships available This drop-in program is offered for children 17 and under. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Centennial Park is now offering a new, state of the art multipurpose recreation center. This center features a gymnasium that is lined to offer three basketball courts, four pickleball courts, and two volleyball courts. Two multi-purpose rooms are also available for programs and special events. A fitness center is available, with various cardio equipment. A variety of recreational programs and classes are offered throughout the year.

Outdoor amenities include four lighted baseball fields, a softball field, three volleyball sand courts, four soccer fields, and a playground. The park is also home to the Snowbird Classic College Baseball Tournament in March. The park also offers a challenging 18 hole disc golf course.

The multi-purpose rooms are available for private use. Rental fees are based on amount of space and type of event to be held. Dates are subject to change, please call to confirm.

Seasonal Crafts at Centennial Park Thursdays in January, starting Jan. 6 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. $35 for all four class, registration required.

Winter Wonderland December 11, 4:30 to 8 p.m. Adaptive Hours, 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. General Hours, 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Kick off the holidays with our free, family-friendly event! Door prizes, giveaways, plenty of photo opportunities and a visit with a very special guest is sure to get everyone in the seasonal spirit!

Sam & Charlotte's ADA Event TBD Let's get "wild" at this free, family-friendly resource fair at Centennial Park Recreation Center! Games, crafts, and interactive presentations will be offered for the whole family to enjoy! This inclusive event is open to guests of all ability levels. Come join Sam & Charlotte on this magical Safari Adventure!

Professional Basketball Training Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This program gets youth athletes ready for their middle or high school basketball team tryouts. Jamar Butler played on the Ohio State University Basketball Team for four years. He then traveled to Italy and Greece to play professionally. Mr. Butler was named Ohio Mr. Basketball in 2004. He has been trained by the best and is offering training to the children of Southwest Florida at Centennial Park Recreation Center.

South County Regional Park offers a recreation center featuring a fitness center, two meeting rooms, and a gymnasium with six basketball goals. A variety of recreational programs and classes are offered throughout the year. Outdoor amenities include two lighted basketball courts, four lighted baseball and one lighted softball fields, four lighted soccer field with a fourth soccer field offering daytime use, two lighted tennis courts, RC car track, 18 hole disc golf course, and a 25 yard heated swimming pool. Pool activities include open swim, lap swim, swim lessons, and aquatic exercise classes. The gymnasium, meeting room, and pool are available for private use; rental fees are based on amount of space used and type of event to be held.

SHERI O'BRIEN MEMORIAL DISC GOLF COURSE

Parents' Night Out Last SCRP will look to offer this the last Friday of each month, January through May if possible Times: 6 to 10 p.m. Grades: K?6 Cost: $20 per child Bring your child to the South County Regional Park recreation center on a Friday night and go out to have some "you" time. Kids will enjoy games, crafts, pizza, and more!

Yoga Mondays & Wednesdays, 10 to 11 a.m. All ages Cost: $8 per class or $32 for 5 classes Traditionally classes begin in November. Yoga is for all body types, ages, and fitness levels. Bring your yoga mat and have some fun getting your mind, body, and spirit in shape.

Adult Drop-In Basketball SCRP traditionally offers Adult Drop-In Basketball one or two afternoons/evenings throughout the week and once on the weekends. Times vary Ages 18 and above Cost: $2 per person, 6 month and yearly memberships available This drop-in program is offered for Adults 18 and over. Participants can practice their skills on one of our hoops or participate in pickup games.

Radio Controlled Planes SCRP traditionally offers this program one night per week during the October?May timeframe. Day to TBD, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Cost: $5 per person Bring your radio-controlled airplanes over and fly them high in the gymnasium.

Single Day Camps November 3 & April 2 Located at South County Regional Park, Ann & Chuck Dever Regional Park, Centennial Park, Harold Avenue Regional Park, South County Regional Park, and Tringali Park Cost: $20 per day

ADULT PROGRAMS

Pickleball Outside of summer time, SCRP traditionally offers Pickleball every day throughout the week and one or two days on the weekends for several sessions. Times vary All ages Cost: $3 per per person, passes available for $27 or $75 Enjoy playing indoor pickleball. Traditionally 2 v 2 games are played on the four indoor courts at SCRP. Singles play when available. Sessions are traditionally broken down into beginner/intermediate and intermediate/advanced levels. Paddles are available to rent for $1 per day.
