Consider bicarbonate infusion; 3ml/kg/hr one hour before study and 1ml/kg/hr for 6 hours after last contrast injection. Consider mucomyst 600mg PO the evening before, the morning of, the evening after and morning after. (Advise them to dissolve it in 30cc ginger ale….the medication tastes quite bad and is best tolerated this way). ................
