Using EducationCity via the Puffin Academy App

Much of EducationCity's current mobile content requires a Flash browser app in order to work properly. We recommend Puffin Academy, which was created specifically for teachers and students. Puffin Academy is available for both iOS and Android devices and is free.

This guide will take you through 1. finding Puffin Academy in the App Store (Apple). 2. finding Puffin Academy in the Google Play Store (Android). 3. locating EducationCity via the Search feature. 4. selecting the best version of EducationCity for you. 5. logging in within the app.

1 Finding Puffin Academy in the App Store (Apple)

Navigate to the App Store or Google Play, which can usually be found on your device's home screen, and click the icon.

Search for Puffin Academy using the search function.

When it appears within the search results, download it. Once installation is complete, open the app on your device.

The Puffin Academy browser will then open and appear as above. Click the blue box to enter the app.

2 Finding Puffin Academy in the Google Play Store (Android)

Navigate to the Play Store, which can usually be found on your device's Home screen, and click the icon.

Search for Puffin Academy using the search function. When it appears in the results, click into it.

You will then see this page. Click INSTALL to install Puffin Academy on your device.

Once the app has been installed, click OPEN.

You will see this screen and Puffin Academy will sit on your Home screen. Click the Puffin Academy Portal tab to proceed.

3 Locating EducationCity via the Search Feature

Once within the Puffin Academy app, look for EducationCity using the search function. Enter "EducationCity" in the search field at the top right, and the search results will appear toward the bottom of the page.

Click on the EducationCity button and more details will be shown. Click Install, then OK.

The EducationCity button will then appear on the Puffin Academy main page. Click to open it.

4 Selecting the Best Version of EducationCity for You

The first time you enter EducationCity via the Puffin Academy browser, you will be asked where you are from so you can be directed to the correct version of EducationCity for your location.

5 Logging in Within the App

Once you have made your selection, you will be presented with the standard EducationCity login page where you can log in as usual.
