1. JOB DETAILS

Job Title: Ecommerce Assistant

Hours: 37.5 hours

Department: Retail

Reports to: Ecommerce Manager

Tenure: Permanent

2. JOB PURPOSE

The post holder will primarily be responsible for assisting the Ecommerce Manager with all day to day tasks involved in maintaining Rowcroft’s online selling platforms, for example, sorting, selecting, researching and listing items as well as completing dispatch requirements.

5. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

▪ To assist in all sections of the retail online business across various platforms, in order to increase volume of sales, customer satisfaction and profitability.

▪ To assist in ensuring that Rowcroft’s online selling platforms are always operational and functioning, reporting any issues to the Ecommerce Manager.

▪ To assist with sorting and identifying saleable items.

▪ To maintain quality assurance of product imagery prior to going live on online trading platforms.

▪ To communicate progress and maintain expected quality levels, reporting any incidents.

▪ General ad-hoc and administrative tasks.

▪ To promote of the work of Rowcroft Hospice to all customers, suppliers and partnerships.

9. AUDIT CLAUSE

All members of staff are expected to participate in audit assessments as appropriate.

10. INFECTION CONTROL CLAUSE

Infection Control is everyone’s responsibility.  All staff, both clinical and non clinical, are required to adhere to the organisation’s Infection Prevention and Control Policies and make every effort to maintain high standards of infection control at all times, thereby reducing the burden of Healthcare Associated Infections including MRSA.

 

All staff employed by Rowcroft Hospice have the following key responsibilities:

 

• Staff must decontaminate their hands prior to and after direct patient care or contact with the patient’s surroundings;

• Staff members have a duty to attend mandatory infection control training provided for them by the Hospice;

• Staff members who develop an infection (other than common colds and illness) that may be transmittable to patients have a duty to contact Occupational Health.
