Statement Regarding Credit for NISL for Ed. S and Ed. DDelta State University is pleased to offer credit toward Educational Specialist and Doctorate of Professional Studies degrees in Educational Administration and Supervision (EAS) for successful completers of the National Institute for School Leadership (NISL) professional development program.Up to 15 hours of course credit can be applied upon successful completion of the NISL program. The 15 eligible hours can be applied in one of following ways: Six hours of course credit (of the 15 possible) toward the EAS Education Specialist degree program. The remaining nine of 15 hours may be applied in the Doctor of Education in Professional Studies for candidates selecting the EAS track. All 15 hours credited at the Doctor of Education level. Candidates can make application for the course credit which will include submission of acceptable NISL program completion certification. The application will be presented to the program coordinator/advisor for approval at the beginning of the final semester of coursework. If approved, the candidate will be awarded credit during the last semester of coursework of the program. ................
