What Music House offers at Pritzker:?Violin (starts at KIndergarten) Mondays and Fridays, 8:00am-9:00amString Ensemble?(for advanced violin, viola, and cello players)?Mondays and Fridays, 8:00am-9:00amUkulele?(starts at Kindergarten)?Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:00am-9:00amClassical Guitar?(starts in 2nd grade)?Mondays and Fridays, 8:00am-9:00amRock Band?(starts in 3rd grade)?Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 8:00am-9:00amBeginning, Intermediate and Advanced Violin/ String Ensemble:? Music House's goal is to make learning music a fun and positive experience. Beginning Violin and Intermediate Violin are Suzuki based classes with the focus on ear training, technique, and repertoire that incorporates games, singing, and movement activities to help students acclimate to their instrument. Students will learn at least 10 songs by the end of the year. Students in Advanced will begin to work on more sight reading, theory, ensemble work, and explore a variety of repertoire. Once students have learned to read, they will graduate to Advanced String Ensemble.?Guitar + Ukulele:??This is a fun, Suzuki based class that also encourages singing and strumming. Children will learn through listening, imitation, and repetition. Students will learn a proper Classical technique, learn to use a footstool, and develop a strong ear through listening / call and response games. Students will learn at least 10 songs by the end of the year. Ukulele students will learn single note melodies in the beginning to build fine motor skills and eventually progress to chord-based songs.Rock Cool (Rock Band):?Grades 3-8 are encouraged to register! Students will be able to choose between guitar, drums, vocals, and keyboard to form a rock ensemble. Students will be encouraged to rock out while building confidence and self-esteem. Students will jam to a classic and modern (kid-friendly) repertoire with a focus and goal of performing. Tuition and rental fees are charged on the first of each month. This is an equal monthly tuition, which means that the price stays the same regardless of the number of classes in the month. This is based on a yearly tuition fee, split up into 10 equal payments because we like to keep things simple! First month fees will include a $15 registration fee and $30 materials fee (includes Suzuki Book/CD and all necessary class materials, repertoire, and supplies for successful classes and performances) and will be charged on the day you register.Register by September 16th to have your instrument delivered on the first day of class, September 17th. If you register after September 16th, you will have to arrange for an instrument rental pickup at one of our studio locations (2925 W. Devon in West Rogers Park or 1018 N.
