Technology Tools for Teachers

The Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (CEMCA) is an international organisation established by the Commonwealth of Learning (COL), Vancouver, Canada to promote the meaningful, relevant and appropriate use of ICTs to serve the educational and training needs of Commonwealth member states of Asia. CEMCA receives diplomatic privileges and immunities in India under section 3 of the United Nations (Privileges and Immunities) Act, 1947.

Author: Vidya M. S. (email: vidya[at]vidyaonline[dot]net) Vidya M. S. holds a doctorate and a post-doctoral fellowship in theoretical physics. She has a number of publications in scholarly journals and is an educator with a passion for science popularisation, development of entrepreneurial skills among young people, and language and learning particularly in young children. Some of her work can be seen at . She is a self-taught enthusiast of modern information and communication technologies, explorations of which have resulted in a web portal vidyaonline, which has grown as a partnership for teachers, children and education. She has also contributed to various technology initiatives, including multimedia products, online courses, special interest groups, curricula for ICT and repositories of digital resources.
