In Language Ryan identifies and reads a variety of texts at grade level. She uses graphic organisers in her writing and is able to use descriptive words in her assignments. When she speaks to a large group, she is aware of her audience and uses a loud clear voice. Next steps include making inferences about what an author is saying. In Mathematics Ryan can read, represent, compare and order numbers to one hundred. She demonstrates a good understanding of place value. She should continue to practice her mathematics skills in everyday events like shopping or setting the table. In science Ryan identifies different forms of energy and how they can be applied to power and movement. In Social Studies Ryan could articulate the similarities and differences between urban and rural communities. Through our study of Ludwig Van Beethoven, Ryan recognizes the ABAB pattern in the composer's Fifth Symphony and draws her feelings related to each section of the pattern. In Art, Ryan recognizes and names the warm (red, orange, yellow) and cool (purple, green, blue) colours and describes their emotional impact.
