6th Grade History Ancient Egypt Project

The Egypt project is a wonderful opportunity for you to take one step further in exploring the many facets of Egyptian culture. The requirements for this project are listed below.

Project Components:

Pick an idea from the list “Ideas for your Egypt Project” below (or get teacher approval on an original idea) and research it. Information should be above and beyond what we have learned…Teach us something new!!!! Turn in the following:

- A visual display: possible including a model, poster, display board, diorama, etc. Be Creative!

- A written paper: hand written in blue or black ink only, or typed double-spaced. Include a Works Cited page. (See example attached.)

- An oral presentation: explaining your topic/display. You may NOT read from your paper.

Ancient Egypt – Social Studies Project

From the list of topics, choose a topic related to Ancient Egypt that you would like to research. You will research, take notes, complete a written report, cite the sources of information you used for your research, and create a presentation. Make sure to address all of the bulleted ideas listed under your topics in your written research report and in your presentations. At the completion of your research, you will present the presentation you have made to the class, and turn in your written report to your teacher.

Choose one. Include: dates of their birth and death, how did they rise to power, what was some of their important achievements while they ruled the people of Egypt, how did they die.
