INSTRUCTIONS AND GUIDELINES FOR TEACHER LED INSTRUCTIONNext week we will start a more teacher led instruction. Each week your child will complete various assignments per core subject (Math, Science, ELAR). Your child might even have extra activities from elective teachers and access to other resources if you want enrichment activities. There are two options to complete the assignments each week:1. Paper packet2. Online learning**You DO NOT need to do both options! If you can do the assignments online we HIGHLY encourage this because there will be access to more resources, BUT IF NOT THAT IS OKAY! :) The paper packet (option 1) can be picked up on Monday and returned on Thursday from lunch distribution sites.**Below I will give guidelines for each option, please read carefully and thoroughly!Option 1 (Paper Packet)At one of the lunch distribution sites you will go each Monday and get a paper packet, pencil. If you do not have an English Language Arts workbook you need to go to Collins Intermediate school and pick one up.Follow the guidelines and directions for the paper packet and spread out the assignments. For example, you can have your child work on Math Monday, Science Tuesday, and English Wednesday. You will return the packet each Thursday to one of the lunch distribution sites, but make sure to keep up with the English workbook for the upcoming weeks assignments.Option 2 (Online):1. When you are ready for your student to begin the assignments go to Hello ID (link below) child will log in to Hello ID how they normally log into a computer at schoolIf they do not know or forgot:Their username is the first 5 letters of their last name, the first 3 letters of first name, and 000Password is their lunch number**If you are logging in on a device other than a laptop or computer you might have to add @student. to the username***Example: Johnny SmithUsername: smithjoh000 or smithjoh000@student. (From a non-laptop or computer)Password: 9123452. Have your student click on the canvas icon to access their courses 3. Go into one of the available courses (you should see Math, English, Science) and look at the assignments to complete for the week. Not everything has to be done by Monday, spread out the assignments and activities for the week. 4. Each course might have assignments that will take you to a separate program in order to complete activities. It will be easier if you start with canvas because each teacher has linked the various programs to each assignment.5. These programs might require a username and password and below is how to access each program:ELAR- StudysyncUsername: the first letter of their first name, their full last name, and 511Password: Tigers20 (Make sure to use a capital T)Example: Johnny Allen-SmithUsername: jallensmith511Password: Tigers20Example: Sally JohnsonUsername: sjohnson511Password: Tigers20Math- Khan AcademyUsername & Password: You will need to create a username and password and make sure to write it down so you don’t forget!
