School Needs Assessment In Math: Trend data on the End of Year Benchmark indicates a lower average of Numbers in Base Ten (NBT) across grade levels when compared to the county, with declines noted in K-5. Scores show that students are below the standard of 80%, which is mastery. The domain of Numbers in Base Ten (NBT) reoccurs in all grade levels and through multiple units of study.

School Improvement Goals to Target Areas from Needs Assessment 1. By June 2020, the percentage of students meeting 80% or better in the area of numbers in

base ten will increase by the determined goal as measured by the CCPS End of the Year Math Assessment.

2. By June 2020, the percentage of students meeting grade level reading expectations will increase by 10 percentage points as measured by reading level, high frequency words, CCPA (grades Pre-K though 1), CBA and SRI (grades 2-5).

3. By June 2020, 70% of all students in grades 2-5 will score 80% or better on the writing portion of the Spring CBA.

Teachers will meet with the math specialist during Team Meetings to: o identify students who did not pass the county grade level benchmark assessments o monitor progress of these students on county wide assessments (formative and summative) o track and review math data o create and monitor WIGs o plan for upcoming units
