Starting your own firm - LexisNexis
Starting your own firm | |
|Best Practice |Dana was instrumental in capturing a new opportunity with the DC Bar. Dana was first contacted by the Practice |
|Take-Away |Management Division of the Bar regarding her training center. Dana was able to give a demo of PCLaw and Time Matters |
| |to her contact. Dana recommends that all CICs reach out to their local bar association and ask to conduct a demo of |
| |their products. Dana then seized an opportunity she noticed in her local paper regarding recent layoffs in local law |
| |firms. She then reached out to her contact at the bar regarding this situation. He then informed her of training |
| |sessions the bar was holding for all members. Dana was able to work with the bar and distribute Time Matters and PCLaw|
| |marketing flyers at all of these training sessions. This is a great way for CICs to get out in front of their clients |
| |and prospects and distribute material and generate possible leads in the future. |
|Impact/Result |Dana was able to distribute the following literature pieces to help generate awareness and potential leads: |

|Lunch & Learn |
|Best Practice |Joe has joined forces with his PMSS and local LN field rep. Together they have built a bridge of |
|Take-Away |communication that allows for endless opportunities. |
| | |
| |* They are coordinating local lunch and learns at their local bar associations. This is a great way to gain|
| |exposure at an inexpensive price. |
| | |
| |* Joe and the team are taking full advantage of his Feature Packs which were announced in CIC Weekly. |
| | |
| |* Joe focuses marketing efforts on legal specific groups in his area including WALA. He is a sponsor at the|
| |event and he and his PMSS are looking for other opportunities they can take advantage of with WALA. |
| | |
| |* Joe and his PMSS are currently working on developing an email blast to prospects in the WI area. |
|Impact/Result |By bringing together his relationships and the weight of LexisNexis tools, Joe is able to capitalize on |
| |numerous opportunities. Recently he was able to close an AMP deal by working closely with his PMSS. |

|Volunteer Sessions |
|Best Practice |LexisNexis sent out a request for topics and speakers for its monthly Practice Advantage Webinar. Seth |
|Take-Away |volunteered to share his expertise in HotDocs and Time Matters integration by doing a session on working |
| |with Time Matters Formattable clipboards, merge templates and HotDocs templates. Seth prepared a 10-page |
| |white paper. We held two 30-minute sessions, with over 100 registrants. |
| | |
| |Following the sessions, Seth sent out an email inviting the attendees to a more in depth session on each of |
| |the three topics. |
|Impact/Result |There were over 25 registrants for each of the follow-on sessions. We anticipate that some of those |
| |registrants will become clients. Some of the attendees were fellow CIC's who may be engaging Seth’s team to|
| |assist them with their clients. End result, getting engaged to conduct webinars is a great opportunity to |
| |get your firm name’s out there and create new opportunities at a limited cost. |
