Most teenagers would probably be able to tell you the most liked picture on Instagram, the celebrity with the most followers or the most retweeted tweet. While you can use this as a fun exercise, you could also use it as a way of highlighting a specific issue or cause with a simple game of Higher or Lower ? how many likes does this photo have, and move on to the next one.
5. HIGHER OR LOWER
THE RULES: a. Instagram pictures; higher or lower amount of likes but can be tailored to class topic eg. National geographic images, News media images, social movement images etc.
Take the challenge of being without Whatsapp, Snapchat and Instagram one step further with a game of charades. Again, this can be tailored to your subject of choice ? or get your students to each write down one thing to act out without or a message the other team has to communicate ? without words or images!
6. CLASS CHARADES
Use tried and tested fun games as ways to entertain and engage. Charades or Pictionary using a pen or just gestures!
7. WHERE AM I? FLAGS AND MAPS
Test your students knowledge of maps, borders and flags without the use of technology! Do they know their flags? Do they know roughly the shape and size of all the countries in the European Union? How about further afield?
Be part of the largest social experiment in the country!
