SUBJECT: Revisions to SOP 2.24 Child Emotional Abuse Investigations and Emotional Injury Evaluations
The purpose of this transmittal letter is to notify staff of revisions made to SOP 2.24 Child Emotional Abuse Investigations and Emotional Injury Evaluations. Revisions include removal of language requiring the involvement of a community mental health center (CMHC) gatekeeper.
The Social Services Worker (SSW) may utilize a qualified mental health professional (QMHP) who does not have prior interaction with the family, to complete the emotional injury evaluation.
