Cohort Progress Tracker for the 7 Areas of the EYFS

This data is summarised from assessments made of children once a term throughout nursery or reception. A judgement is made about the developmental age band each child is working within, based on the EYFS framework 7 areas of learning. Numbers and/or percentages of children are recorded once a term, allowing an ‘at-a-glance’ view of progress.

The age related expectations for children entering nursery are that they are emerging or working within the 30-50 month band, having secured competency in the 22-36 month band across the 7 areas of learning and development.

For the end of nursery/start of reception children should be working with competence in the 30-50 month band and have begun to work in the 40-60 month band.
