Employee of the Month Award Program (EOM)

Eligibility Criteria:

• Any YCS employee can nominate another employee who has completed a minimum of 1 year of employment with YCS.

• If the nomination is made via another employee, the nominator must be employed for a minimum of 6 months.

• All YCS employees in good standing are eligible.

• Nominations should be made based on the employee’s superior performance and/or contributions to their assigned program and YCS.

• Selected winners must be employees at the time they are recognized.

• A previous winner can be nominated again after one year of receiving the award.

Nomination Process:

• To nominate an employee, the EOM form must be completed as specifically as possible. Use as many examples as possible to support your statements.

• Completed forms are sent or faxed to the H.R. Dept. upon completion.

• Any nominations that are not chosen in the particular month that they were submitted can be designated by the Selection Committee as worthy for consideration in a future voting.

• If your nominee is not chosen within 2 months of your submitting a nomination the Selection Committee strongly advises that you resubmit it with more detail.

• Nomination forms must be received by the Human Resource department by the 1st of the month to be considered for the following month’s award.

• The method of notification of winners varies depending on whether or not there is a cabinet meeting. However, generally speaking winners are announced at the monthly cabinet meetings and via email.

Program Rules:

• 1 employee from both the Northern and Southern Regions will be chosen monthly.

• All nominations are kept confidential from the Selection Committee.

• The Selection Committee consists of personnel from various levels who will review the nominations and work in conjunction with the H. R. Dept. to determine authenticity before selecting a winner.

• The Research Department will notify the winners.

• The winners will be announced at the Cabinet Meeting as well as via email to all staff, and a posting will be done on the Employee Accomplishments page on the YCS website.

The Award:

• Winners will receive $150, a framed certificate, a plaque at their site and a letter from the YCS President/CEO Mr. Mingoia.
