JOB TITLE: Communications Coordinator

SUMMARY: The ministry of planning and coordinating all communication from the parish to the community through the website, social media, email blasts, and the bulletin.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop new content and maintain the parish website.

• Develop new content and post on the parish’s social media platforms.

• Work with the parish staff to develop content for the website and social media.

• Monitor the parish’s social media and online presence.

• Prepare and submit the weekly parish bulletin.

• Send email blasts to parishioners.

• Prepare promotional materials (postcards, pamphlets, programs, etc.).

• Plan and implement a communications strategy.

• Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be: a practicing Catholic, living according to the teachings, mission, and values of the Church; able to organize and prioritize; timely; willing to work with the pastor and the staff; able to communicate clearly and effectively; and able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• A minimum of 2-3 years' experience working in a marketing or communication position.

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or Journalism preferred.
