Influenza Vaccination Clinic Scheduled

Now is a great time to get your influenza vaccination

(Organization) will hold an influenza vaccination clinic on (day, date) from (start time) to (end time) at (location). The clinic is part of a statewide effort to encourage Minnesotans to get vaccinated against influenza during National Influenza Vaccination Week Dec. 1-7, 2019.

“Now is a great time to get your flu vaccine,” said (name of local public health contact). “We still have a lot of flu season left, so National Influenza Vaccination Week serves as a reminder that there is still time to protect yourself and your family against influenza.”

Influenza vaccinations are recommended for all Minnesotans 6 months of age and older, but they are especially important for young children 6 months to 5 years old, adults age 65 and older, people of any age with chronic medical conditions, pregnant women, people living with or caring for those at high risk for complications from influenza, and health care workers.

The vaccination costs ($ fee charged) and is covered by most health insurance including Medicare. Remember to bring your Medicare and health insurance cards along to the clinic. Also, wearing short sleeves (under a sweater if it’s cold) makes it easier to get vaccinated.

For more information about the influenza vaccination clinic, call (name of contact) at (phone number) or visit/email (web address or email address if applicable to organization).
