Introduction/Background: ? Use of turbocharger decided for the potential increase in scoring potential at FSAE competitions ? Iterative analyses using a 1-D engine simulation was used to design system components ? Electronic boost control used to tune power and fuel efficiency for different events of Formula SAE competitions ? Components packaged using 3D CAD software to ensure fitment within the car ? Components mounted within the car robustly to withstand the extreme vibrations and heat that the racecar endures ? Components manufactured and set up on the DC engine dynamometer for tuning and verification of simulation results ? Multiple engine maps will be developed for fuel economy or maximum power based on each of the competition events
