What is the final exam? - PROF. JONES - Home

Final Exam InstructionsWhat is the final exam? The final exam will be a conversation between you and ANOTHER PROFESSOR. The professor will ask you questions that we have covered in class. The professor will not ask you trick questions; all questions will be from something that we have talked about and used in class. Then, you should give an A+ answer back to the professor to get a good grade. The test will be about 10 minutes long and will be you, 2 other students, and the professor. The professor may ask you 2-4 questions depending on the time. If the professor asks you only a few or a lot of questions, that does not mean you did good or bad. It is more based on the time limit. What will be on the exam?Anything that we have talked about in class could be on the test. To study for this test, you should go back to everything that we have covered (student book, workbook [homework], worksheets, PPTs, and interviews). If you see a question that you used to interview other students in class during a chapter, that could be a good question to study. Then, you can think about what kind of A+ answer you could give if asked that question. How will it go?On the test day, everyone should come to class on time during their time. You will be given a time for the test. Failure to come to your test time on time could result in a failing grade. When you come into class and when your time comes, the professor will invite you into a “breakout room.” You will be in a group with two other students (3 students total). However, this is not a team test, this is an individual test. The professor will ask you questions individually. After you finish your test with me, you can leave the class because the class is done! When you come to the class, the professor may not be in the class because he is in a breakout room with other students. That is ok! Just wait for your turn and he will call you in. I recommend you come to the class 5-10 minutes early.TIPS:1. Wake up early for the test, don’t be late, and practice before class.2. Rehearse with a friend what you will say. DO NOT MEMORIZE ANSWERS!3. Review Prof. Jones’s PPTs on his website: profjonesenglish..4. Remember to give an A+ answer, and use “fillers” if you don’t know what to say right away.5. Just relax! Speaking English is easier if you are not nervous!6. Don’t take your test in a noisy place (no cafes!). Make sure you can hear and talk easily.7. Make sure your camera and microphone work well. ................
