Absentee Policy

Refer to the Parent/Student Handbook for the school’s attendance and tardy policies. If you are not in the classroom by the specified scheduled time, you will be marked as TARDY, regardless of where you were, unless you enter with a pass.

Classwork/Homework Policy

Classwork and/or Homework is assigned every day except on some test days. It will be graded for accuracy not completion! This means that a student will not receive a grade just for doing it. Also, all classwork, homework, quizzes, and tests are to be done in pencil, black or blue ink & if submitted electronically: Times New Roman 12 point font and double spaced. Anything else will not be graded unless rewritten.

MAKE-UP WORK

In the case of an EXCUSED ABSENCE ONLY, all work assigned that day is due 2 days after the student returns. It is the student’s responsibility to get the make-up work upon their return to class. If a student missed a test, the test has to be made up within 1 week or 5 school days upon return. For example, if a student is absent on Wednesday, that student has until the next Wednesday to make it up. The student is responsible for arranging the make-up with me. Remember that an absence will result in a grade of “Z/0” until the work has been completed. Finally, an “excused absence” does NOT excuse you from the work completed that day, it just allows you to receive it and complete it upon you return without penalty.
