A creative and detail-oriented translator and trainer with 10 years’ experience in translation and writing in Sindhi.

Introduction

I have earned my 1st Class MA in Historical Research and been working for projects on education reforms, Sindhi curriculum and language translation since last 10 years.

I specialize in doing translation, editing and localization projects for academic organizations and global brands like Pakistan Reading Program, Pakistan Red Cross TransPerfect Translations USA, Pakistan Red Cross, Sindh Reading Program, German Red Cross and Vistatech USA.

I am currently employed by The Citizen Foundation Pakistan as Quality Assurance Lead-Teaching Learning Material in Sindhi. In this position, I am responsible to write and edit textbooks, Teachers Guide Books, story books, and scripts for community radios. All of this is used to share new ideas and constantly improve, as well as making sure academic and linguistic standards are maintained. I am also part of teacher’s trainings and assessment of student learning program for Sindhi.

▪ Authored early grade stories, Leveled Readers, read aloud books and lesson plans for PRP target schools

▪ Successfully developed scope and sequence for Grade I and II

▪ Edited and refined script for mentoring videos focusing reading skills.

▪ Participated as co-facilitator in training PRP targeted primary teachers and material review committees on effective utilization of learning material

▪ Assisted Directors on editing, publication and printing of development learning material

▪ Ensure that all reading material is contextually relevant, error- free, in line with the national curriculum and is appropriate for Grade I and II reading skills
