2004 GROWTH AND CUSTOMER DEMAND AT ENTERPRISE RENT-A-CAR CREATES NEED TO HIRE 6,500

ST. LOUIS, March 2, 2004 – Enterprise Rent-A-Car, North America’s largest rental car company, announced today that it plans to hire some 6,500 people in 2004 due to its continued growth and consumer demand at its more than 5,000 neighborhood and airport locations.

The demand for new employees is a result of robust growth in the company’s Car Rental, Fleet Services, Car Sales, and Truck Rental divisions. For the most part, Enterprise will be seeking candidates for its Management Training Program, where nearly 100 percent of its operational employees get their start.

"Our steady growth has created a continual need at Enterprise for college educated individuals to join our management training program. These motivated entry-level employees are taught the business from the ground up with a strong focus on building exceptional customer service skills," said Ed Adams, Enterprise's senior vice president of human resources. "We are not surprised to be named a top employer. Throughout the struggling economy of recent years, we were able to offer our employees something beyond a job -- a career."

Typically, all company employees begin their careers in the Enterprise management training program, learning firsthand the Enterprise brand of customer service, and developing the skills needed to manage, grow, and build the business.
