Job Title: Production Safety Assistant

Department: Environmental Health and Safety – TV Production

Reports to: Director EHS TV Production – Los Angeles, CA

Work environment: fast-paced television production environment requiring a “think on your feet” problem solver with strong negotiation skills and a strong public presence.

The position will be located in Universal City, CA

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for assisting in the implementation of EHS programs aimed at reducing injury and illness rates, enhancing communication in the workforce and ensuring regulatory compliance.

• EHS program/training development and implementation including web-based components.

• Provide on-going analysis of the Television Studio’s injury and illness data.

• Work closely with Director and Production Safety Team to ensure effective implementation of General Electric’s Health and Safety Framework and Environmental Framework

Desired Skills:

• High-level proficiency computer skills: Microsoft office products including – Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint

• Excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills

• Self-starter with strong project management skills

• Experience in Motion Picture, Television or Entertainment industry

Qualifications:

• Must have BS degree in Health and Safety or related field

• EHS work experience a plus
