PhD ADMISSIONS

(Session 2018-2019)

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the following on-campus teaching programmes:

(A) ELIGIBILITY

Programme

Biochemistry, Haematology, Human Genetics & Molecular Biology, Immunology, Oral Pathology, Pharmacology, Physiology & Cell Biology, and Forensic Sciences.

Eligibility

(A) Qualifications MPhil/MS/FCPS/Equivalent Degree in relevant subject from HEC recognized institution.

(B) The candidate has passed University Admission Test for PhD with minimum 70% marks. Those having valid GRE-Subject Test (with minimum 60 percentile score) or GAT (with minimum 60% marks) in relevant subject, are exempted from University Admission Test for PhD.

(B) ADMISSION TEST The University shall conduct an Admission Test for PhD on Sunday, 16th June, 2019 at 10:00 AM at University of Health Sciences, Lahore. Time allowed for the test shall be 2 hours. Total marks shall be 100. It shall consist of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

(C) HOW TO APPLY 1. The application process shall consist of two mandatory phases: (i) Online Submission. (ii) Manual Submission. 2. The candidate shall fill online application available at UHS website (uhs.edu.pk). 3. Before applying online, the candidates must submit test fee of Rs.1000/- (Non Refundable) in National Bank of Pakistan Sheikh Zayed Hospital Lahore branch, in Account No. 1711-6 or get a DD/PO of same amount in favour of Treasurer, University of Health Sciences, Lahore. 4. Application can be submitted online from 20th May, 2019 to 31st May, 2019. The link is available at UHS official website uhs.edu.pk. The link will be deactivated at 04:00 pm on 31st May, 2019, and no application shall be accepted after that.

5. Applicants should fill the forms carefully and also upload a recent, coloured picture (size must be less than 1MB). The picture should show full and clear face of the applicant.

6. Once the application is submitted, the candidate cannot edit it. 7. The candidate should get a print of the online filled application form by clicking

"Download & Print" button. If the facility of downloading and printing is not available at that time, the candidate can access his / her application any other time by clicking "Search Button". 8. The print-out of the filled application must reach at the office of "Controller of Examinations University of Health Sciences, Lahore", with original fee deposit slip/DD/PO and attested copies of required documents by 31st May, 2019 before 04:00 P.M. 9. The candidates shall have to submit one page abstract of proposed research with his/her application form for admission in respective programme. 10. The applicants can download their Roll No Slips from 11th June, 2019 to 14th June, 2019 from UHS official website uhs.edu.pk. 11. The test will be conducted on Sunday, 16th June, 2019. The candidate must bring his/her roll number slip and original CNIC at the Test Centre. 12. It shall be mandatory for the candidate to complete both phases of Application Submission, i.e., online and manual.

(D) IMPORTANT 1. The candidates who applied in previous session shall have to apply afresh. They can, however, submit a separate application for adjustment of test fee they have already paid. 2. Applications received after due date or with incomplete information will not be considered. 3. The schedule of interview shall be notified on the UHS website uhs.edu.pk after declaration of Admission Test result. 4. Admission shall be granted on merit only. 5. Those in service and applicants desirous to attend the course on deputation basis must apply through proper channel. 6. Those having foreign qualifications are required to submit HEC/PMDC equivalence certificate. 7. The detail of the programmes is available on UHS website: uhs.edu.pk/programs.php. 8. Preference will be given to candidates having MBBS/BDS qualifications.
