Check-in and Check-out

On both Friday and Saturday, Check-in and Check-out will be held in Ballroom 500 of the Indianapolis Convention Center.

• Friday Check-in/Registration: 8:30-9:30 AM

We strongly encourage parents and guardians to check-out their student before Finals, because the stadium is very busy after the Finals performance and it will take a long time to travel to the check-out location.

Students will receive their ticket for DCI World Championships during Check-out on Saturday night.

In this packet, we provided directions to the convention center and parking information for the area. Note that during the INpact weekend there will also be another large event going on in Indianapolis, the MotoGP. Therefore, the city will be crowded and parking will be at capacity. We suggest that you leave plenty of time to park and walk to the convention center on Friday and Saturday morning.

Scheduled Activities and Events

Dress Code

We ask that as a student participant, you wear the INpact shirt that will be given to you upon registration as well as khaki shorts, pants or capris and gym shoes. You will be doing a lot of walking, so please wear shoes that are close toed and will provide support, such as sneakers. This will be the dress code for both days, including all performances. INpact shirts must be worn at all times. Family and Friends, we ask that you wear the INpact shirt on Saturday to support the students as they perform.

Registration

Registration will take place in the convention center from 8:30 - 9:30 AM on Friday and 8:30-9 AM on Saturday. To register students, parents or designated guardians must have a photo ID to sign the student in. The students will receive their shirts on Friday at registration. Once the students have completed registration, they will travel to their first rehearsal of the day. At that time, we will register those who signed up for the "Family and Friends" package, and hold our first Family and Friends Session.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals will take place in Lucas Oil Stadium as well as in Ballroom 500 of the convention center. Students must have their instruments at all rehearsals as well as a pencil. Their music will be taped to a stand for them to use during the entire event. The INpact band directors will run sectionals, and Ms. Briel, as well as Dr. Pratt, will run full block rehearsals.

Lunch at Military Park

Military Park is the location of the lunch meal on Friday. This is also the warm-up location for the World Championship Semi-Final corps, so you will be able to eat and watch the corps warm-up.

Dinner and a Show (Friday)

The dinner meal will be eaten in the beautiful Arts Garden, an enclosed overlook right off the Circle Center Mall. Then, after dinner, students will attend a show at a local theatre, with special guests from all corners of the music industry. We encourage all those who registered for the "Family and Friends" package to join their students for this exciting performance.

Georgia Street/Pan-Am Plaza Performance and Festival Lunch

Saturday morning, the students will perform at the Georgia Street Festival for DCI fans from all over the world. After, the students will be served lunch and given some free time with their groups to enjoy the DCI DrumLine Battle and SoundSport programs at the festival.

Dress Rehearsal

Dress Rehearsal will take place in Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday. We ask that the students be cooperative and respectful during this rehearsal as there is a limited amount of time to prepare in the stadium. This the only chance the students will have to rehearse with our INpact Talent who have come to perform with them. Parents are not allowed in Lucas Oil Stadium for rehearsal for security reasons. However, there are plenty of alternate activities during this time, such as the Georgia Street Festival or exploring the rest of Downtown Indianapolis.

Break/Snack- Shopping Time

The students will have a break after the dress rehearsal. You will be able to walk throughout the marketplace with your groups and purchase souvenirs from your favorite corps as well as DCI merchandise. The concession stands will also be open if you would like purchase a snack.

DCI World Championship Performance

The students will perform in the opening ceremonies for the 2015 DCI World Championships!

DCI World Championships Finals

After the performance, the students and those who purchased "Family and Friends" packages, will receive a ticket to the DCI World Class Finals to watch the top 12 corps battle it out for the title of 2015 DCI World Champion.

Attendees who did not purchase the "Family and Friends" package, can still attend the Finals performance by separately purchasing their own tickets through DCI (tickets/). Additionally, there are $15.00 Indiana Resident general admission seats, available for purchase the day of the event, with an Indiana State ID. Note, that the INpact members and those who signed up for the "Family and Friends" package, will be seated in sections that average $55-$75, so those who purchase tickets separately will not be able to sit with them.
