It takes place once every year, at the Arthur Ashe stadium. During the two weeks competition, the organization gave their fans one day to experience the game.We took the offer to enjoy the competition. We took the train from Brooklyn to queens. When we got there, there were plenty of activities for us to do. First of all, we kicked tennis ball in the air while the camera rolled on. Next, we were given a 30minutes chance to play inside the tennis court. After that, we visited other booths. There were lots of booths each with different activities for the fans. In one of the booths we competed for a gold wrist watch. In another booth, we won two pairs of socks, a hat, and a bag. We took pictures with our favorite tennis super star in the background, in one of the booths. We signed up for one year membership in the organization, in another booth. Later on, we visited the tennis courts where the quarter finals were going on.In one of the courts, the winner of the match was met with cheers from ardent fans. One man asked us to take his picture with the winner. Others asked the winner to sign his autograph on their tennis balls.Overall, we had beautiful time at the US open. Then we took train home to Brooklyn. That is the end of our fan experience day at US open. First of all, we woke up to this peculiar feeling of some wonderful expectations. Party in the air! Your heart is giddy, your nose is breathy, your ear can hear music somewhere in the air, and your eyes are on the lookout to see road closures. There is a block party every Saturday somewhere around. Then the music start getting louder, barbecue smoke fills the air, and you could see people setting tables. The roads are closed. The balloon rides are set up. The entire block is busy prepping for a party, everybody at their own door step. Soon the party hits up. People filing around. Children jumping the rides. Its time to go and see.Usually, we swim every day at the pool. On our way there, we let our nose breath in the delicious smell of barbecue hamburgers. We follow the children and jump the rides. We danced to the music. At times, run across sprinklers. But most especially, we hoped to get a few bite of the delicious hamburgers we could see displayed on the stand, that has tantalized our nose every step of the way.Soon, we got to the pool, finished our swimming, and returned home to the same beautiful atmosphere. That is the end of our summer Saturdays in Brooklyn. This Photo by Unknown Author is licensed under CC BY-SAThis Photo by Unknown Author is licensed under CC BY-SADescriptive EssayIndependence Day at Coney IslandIndependence day is a day we can all spend. We take train to Coney island and do the rides. First, we do wonder wheel. Are we going to take stationary one or swing? so we are going to do swing WOW! This is so much fun.Next, we do Thrickler . Am I going to stay at the edge or in the middle so that I will feel save. Then we go ahead and do Tunderbolt. Up to the sky then WAOSH! Down, here comes the loops then tumble that was frightening, but at the same time exciting. We go ahead and try other exciting rides. Later on, we walk down the beach, build sand castle, and swim in the river. Our stomach is churning at this time. There are lots of restaurants on scene. We sit down somewhere and get a few bites. Then the firework goes out. Finally, we are ready to go home. That is how we spend our Independence day at Coney Island. We took the Mega bus at Jacob Jarvit. When we got there, we saw all of these houses. They were all werid. We had this sinking feeling in us that we might actually encounter a snake under the bed in any of the houses. The basements look like a cave. I will be scared to go there by myself. There was nothing much going on there. Our life there could have been miserable. The stores are far away from home. Their transportation is very expensive. I couldn’t see how we could integrate the life we have with their society. At least in New York, we are busy with a lot of things. Philadelphia has nothing to offer us.Finally, we decided to go home and remain in New York. Brooklyn has never been better. It’s like our village. We came to the decision that living in New York is way better than moving to Philadelphia. This Photo by Unknown Author is licensed under CC BY-SAThis Photo by Unknown Author is licensed under CC BY-SAExpository EssaySwimming at the PoolThis is the place were I learn how to swim and float so mommy holds me and I swim then as I swim mommy gets close then let go of her hand . I did 13feet, I even did it without float up to the 13 feet. As I went deeper, the line gets smaller. I train at pool at the Crotona meadow park. I practice all the four swimming strokes. FreeStyle, BreastStroke, Butterfly Stroke, and the BackStroke.First Freestyle. I put my hand all the way in the front and put myhead in the water. I start with the left hand in the front then the right hand and also count to 4 then put my head at the side like a pillow and take a deep breath. Put my head back in the water and repeat the routine, until I am done. The Breast Stroke involves opening and closing your leg in a scissors pattern, at the same time raise and deep your head in the water. Your hands remain in the water, doing reach out and spread, in a pattern that coordinates with the leg movements. With Back Stroke, you reach out backward and kick your legs shifting from side to side, until you get to the end of the pool. The last is the butterfly stroke. It is a little harder to swim because you need to keep your legs together, while your two hands stretch out in front swim rhythmically. This is how we practice the four swimming strokes at the pool.
