• Make a Bold Statement

-Torturing children with special needs seems to be a hobby for some of the characters in Wonder.

• Ask a Question

-What would happen if school started an hour later?

• Create a “Picture” of an event/character/setting from the book using descriptive words.

-With his eyes glued to the ground, his stomach in knots, and his fists clenched, Auggie fleas the classroom, hoping those bullies do not see the fat, hot tears darting from his lonely eyes.

• List 3 powerful words (just be consistent – ALL verbs, OR ALL adjectives, OR ALL nouns, etc.)

- Betrayal. Power. Hope. Auggie’s journey through 5th grade is nothing short of a painfully joyous journey.

• Use a proverb, a slogan, a saying, or a quotation
