News????17?March?2020Reappointment of the Chair of the Board of David MacBrayne LimitedThe Minister for Energy, Connectivity and the Islands, Paul?Wheelhouse?MSP, today announced the reappointment of David?McGibbon as Chair of the Board of David?MacBrayne Limited.ReappointmentDavid?McGibbon is a qualified accountant and experienced business consultant. He spent many years in the private sector as Finance Director of Grampian Holding Plc, one of Scotland’s leading public companies. They owned the Malcolm Group and Edinburgh Woollen Mills amongst many others. Mr?McGibbon also has experience in the public sector and was a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee of Historic Scotland between?2005 and?2015.The reappointment is regulated by the Ethical Standards Commissioner.Length of Term, Remuneration and Time CommitmentThe reappointment runs from 21?November?2019 until 20?November?2020. The Chair of the Board receives ?356.00?per day for a time commitment of up to three?days per week.Other Ministerial AppointmentsMr?McGibbon does not hold any other Ministerial appointments.Political ActivityAll appointments are made on merit and political activity plays no part in the selection process.
