Course Description: The purpose of this course is to introduce the student to technology/robotics, and familiarize them with every portion of the course to build up concepts for further enhancement. It is also designed to enable students to obtain 21st century skills such as teamwork, collaboration, innovation, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Emphasis is placed on social and ethical implications of computer usage; developing proficiency with touch typing; fundamental concepts on computer applications programs, and the integration of these programs.

Course Expectations: Even though this is an introductory course, it requires students’ creativity and attention to detail. Students are expected to demonstrate understanding of the concepts, work independently, read and comprehend technical written information, complete exercises and practices, and be able to make presentations. This course includes several projects, some independent and some group-based. Tests will be comprehensive to allow students to be fairly and thoroughly assessed.
