1. Transport solutions adapted to the needs of each individual
The Tram ? the No. 1 network in France
6 lines constitute the backbone of the Strasbourg city transport system. Trams circulate from early morning to late night, from 4.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m., at intervals of 6 to 7 minutes for a major part of the day and every 15 minutes before 7 a.m. and after 9 p.m. On Sundays and public holidays from 5.30 a.m to 12.30 p.m., trams run every 15 minutes in the morning and every 12 minutes in the afternoon.
THE Bus
The tramway network is supplemented by 29 bus lines serving all the districts and neighbourhoods of the Strasbourg conurbation. On most lines, the buses run from 5.30 in the morning to 11.30 at night. At the major Bus-Tram cross-correspondence stations, the connecting services are specially arranged for rapid and entirely safe transfers between the different modes of transport, including specially designed routes for people with limited mobility.
THE Park&Ride LOTS
8 Park&Ride lots at the main entrances to the city provide you with ample opportunities for intelligently combining the car with the Bus-Tramway network. If you opt for a Park&Ride lot located close to a tram station, for only 3.50 or 4.00 you can obtain a parking space for the whole day plus a return ticket by tram or bus for every passenger in your vehicle (up to a maximum of 7 people). All the Park&Ride lots (except for Rotonde) are open from Monday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and every Sunday before Christmas from 9.30 a.m. to 7 p.m. However, you can also exit with your vehicle after 8 p.m. The Rotonde P+R is open all week, including Sundays and public holidays (except May 1st), at the same operating times as the tram, i.e. from 4.30 a.m. to 12.30 a.m. Exit possible 24 hours a day.

6. RULES OF GOOD CONDUCT
The CTS aims to provide its customers with a high-quality service at good value. Since fraud and vandalism harm every user of the public transport system, the CTS has established a code of conduct for customers in conformity with the general regulations of the transport police. The aim of these rules is to contribute to the safety, comfort and tranquillity of all travellers, ensuring full respect to people and property.
Rules of good conduct
Validation of tickets Every passenger over 4 years old must have a validated ticket or subscription. The ticket must be validated every time the holder boards a CTS vehicle, including for connecting services.
Fines for non-payment of fares If you do not have a valid transport ticket you are liable to an on-the-spot fine, payable immediately. If you defer payment, a report will be drawn up, and the fine will be increased to cover administrative costs.
Reserved seats Every user of public transport is expected to give up their seat to all passengers officially registered as "less able to stand" and to senior citizens, pregnant women or women accompanied by children under 4 years old.
Pushchairs, strollers etc. Pushchairs and buggies/strollers should be parked in the space reserved in priority for wheelchair users, if this space is available. The driver may refuse access to pushchairs if they would inconvenience other passengers or cause a risk of accident.
Animals Animals are prohibited in buses and trams, with the exception of small pets carried in a basket and guide dogs for the blind or for people with impaired mobility.
12
Video surveillance For safety reasons, a video surveillance system is able to record the images relating to offences committed on the network (French Law dated 21/10/95, Decree dated 17/10/96). Each user is entitled to inspect any information held by the CTS concerning him/her and, where applicable, to exercise the right to have this information rectified.
No smoking As in all public places, smoking is prohibited on the bus or tram, subject to a fixed fine of 68 or legal action. The use of electronic cigarettes is not permitted in buses and trams. If you would like to stop smoking, you can obtain help by calling +33 (0) 25 30 93 10 (0.15 /minute, Tabac Info Service).
(French government decree No. 2006-1386 dated 15 November 2006, specifying the conditions for applying the ban on smoking in places intended for public use).
Audio equipment Make sure that you do not disturb other passengers when using an MP3 player, mobile phone or other audio device.
Bulky objects and dangerous substances The transport of bulky objects and dangerous substances is prohibited.
Clean condition of vehicles To keep the vehicle's interior equipment clean, the consumption of food and/or beverages is not permitted. Passengers are also prohibited from putting their feet on the seats.
Bicycles, Rollerblades, Kick Scooters Bicycles are prohibited in buses. They are allowed on trams from Mondays to Saturdays outside the peak periods from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. On Sundays and public holidays they are permitted all day. Access is only permitted using the last door of the tram and is at the bicycle's owner's sole risk and liability. The use of skateboards, kick scooters or rollerblades or of any vehicle powered by engine or electric motor is prohibited inside buses and trams.
Wheelchairs Wheelchairs are permitted in the spaces reserved for them and have priority. Walking frames and rollators are also permitted in the bus and tram. However, mobility scooters are not accepted.

Getting along smoothly - together
Are you taking the bus? To save time, have your ticket ready to show it as soon as you enter the vehicle. Get in at the front and out in the back.
Let people get out of the bus first! In all buses and trams, first wait for passengers to get out before entering the vehicle.
Give up your seat - without being asked - to people of reduced mobility, pregnant woman, young children or senior citizens.
For your safety, at stations and tram stops, stand clear of the edge of the platform. Inside buses and trams, hold the bars and handles to help keep your balance at all times.
An accessible transport network
Since public transport should be accessible to everyone, the CTS has focused its efforts on ensuring easy access to people with reduced mobility. On the tram network, the audio announcements, tactile flooring strips, reserved spaces, low-floor vehicles and sliding doors make travelling easier for everyone. On the bus network, the new vehicles have two spaces for wheelchair users and a tram-type door for easier access. The new bus stops have a specially designed platform edge to enable the buses to stop flush with the pavement.
DON'T FORGET! Help maintain easy access to the special reserved spaces for people in wheelchairs.
Ticket inspections and offences
The ticket inspectors ("Agents de Contr?le Voyageurs" ? ACVs) can check the validity of passengers' tickets at any stage of the ride ? at stations and stops, inside the buses and trams and while leaving the vehicles. You are asked to present them your validated transport fare.
If you have broken the rules, you will be able to forestall any legal action by paying an immediate fixed fine. No dispute or complaint is possible after paying this fine. The amount of this fine depends on the seriousness of the offence:
14
? 48 for the total absence of a ticket ? 32 for a non-validated, invalid or outdated ticket ? 2 for failure to validate a ticket on transferring to a
connecting service ? 2 for failure to validate a subscription for a single ride or
a connecting service.
* fares as of March 1st 2013.
In the case of deferred payment, our agents are entitled to take the name and address of any passenger riding illegally (and to have recourse if necessary to public law enforcement officers) in order to draw up an infraction report. This report will specify the total amount to pay, on the basis of a fixed fine, plus the administrative costs*: ? 20 for payment within 15 days ? 38 for payment after the 16th day
* The administrative costs do not apply to infractions of passengers under 18 years old if payment is made within the five days following the report.
Fines can be paid by check addressed to the CTS: Bureau de Recouvrement des Indemnit?s Forfaitaires (B.R.I.F) 14, rue de la Gare aux Marchandises CS 15002 67035 STRASBOURG CEDEX 2 or directly in person at the Bureau de Recouvrement des Indemnit?s Forfaitaires (B.R.I.F) located in the CTS Shop, from Monday to Friday between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Refunds
Did you make a mistake when buying a ticket? Was there an operating error with an automatic dispenser? In specific cases, the CTS is able to replace or refund your purchases, usually by means of a discount voucher.
Monthly sUBSCRIPTION Necessary conditions: whatever the reason for the request, the application for a refund must be submitted before the start of the period of validity of the subscription. No refund is possible for a monthly subscription after the month has started, even if the ticket has not been validated.
Procedure: Go to the CTS shop. Your request for a refund will be considered directly.
