Los Angeles National Cemetery 2018 Memorial Day Weekend Events

Saturday, May 26th ? Flag Placement Ceremony Starting at 8:00a.m., more than 10,000 Scouts will place 90,000 flags on Veterans' graves to honor and remember their sacrifices this Memorial Day.

Sunday, May 27th - Sony Picture Entertainment Annual Flower Placement Ceremony From 8:00a.m. - 10:00a.m., 20,000 flowers will be placed on gravesites by Sony Picture Entertainment volunteers. There will be a brief ceremony to kick off the program followed by a tour of the cemetery and the new Columbarium site.

Sunday, May 27th ? Roll Call of Honor Starting at 7:00p.m. the Roll Call of Honor will begin to recognize the 6600 WWI Veterans laid to rest at the LA National Cemetery. Over three events; Veterans Day 2017, Memorial Day 2018 and Veterans Day 2018, each Veterans name will be read to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of WW I.

Monday, May 28th ? Memorial Day Ceremony Join us at 10:00a.m. to remember and honor the sacrifice of our nation's heroes at the Los Angeles National Cemetery's Annual Memorial Day Ceremony. U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Under Secretary for Memorial Affairs, Randy Reeves, will provide remarks. Mr. Reeves will be joined by U.S. Congressman Ted Lieu, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, and Secretary of California Veterans Affairs, Dr. Vito Imbasciani, as well as local vocalists and musicians.
