Cycle NC Campsite on Blannahassett Island opens for set up ? At 1 p.m. you may begin setting up your camping area (outdoor and indoor) in the designated areas only once you have checked in. Access (parking, camping, etc.) is not permitted until 1 p.m. on Friday, August 5, so please DO NOT arrive before 1 p.m. As a reminder, you must be checked-in and wearing your Cycle NC wristband prior to setting up your camping area.

Cycle NC Rider Services and Check-in Open Check-in opens at the Cycle NC Rider Services located on Blannahassett Island (286 Learning Way Dr). Check-in and Rider Services will be open from 1pm to 5pm. You will receive your event wristband that must be worn at all times during the weekend. You will also receive your official ride t-shirt. Cycle North Carolina merchandise will be available for purchase.

Local Welcome Booth Open The local welcome booth will provide participants with local information, area maps, restaurant information, weekend activities and local discounts. Stop by the local welcome booth to get information about what the Marshall and Madison County area has to offer when you are not riding.

Tune Up Route Option Available Warm up your legs for the weekend on this scenic 15 mile route that takes you out and back along the French Broad River to Walnut Island River Park. Road markings will be in blue. SAG support will not be available.

5pm-7pm

Cycle NC Welcome on Main Street Join the Cycle NC staff and town representatives at The Sweet Monkey Caf? & Mallory's (133 South Main Street, #105) for the official Cycle NC Welcome that will include beer from Hi-Wire Brewing, wine and light hors d'oeuvres such as cheese & crackers, veggies with dip, hummus with naan and fruit with a yogurt candied ginger dip.

Looking for dinner? The Sweet Monkey will be selling made-to-order Carnitas Burritos from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. Other options along Main Street include: - Grateful Organic Diner - Mad Co. Brewhouse - Main Street Caf? - Star Diner (Reservations required) - Zadie's Market

Plus there are others like Bonnie & Clyde's Appalachian Cuisine, High Ridge Adventures & BBQ and more that are just a short drive away. Hours vary by location.

weather and demand. ? The History of Barns at The Smith Farm @ 3pm (approx. 11 miles away): Hear local barn

historian Taylor Barnhill tell fascinating stories about some of the county's 10,000 barns that you'll be cycling past on this weekend's routes.

? Black Education Historical Experience at The Rosenwald School @ 4pm (approx. 12 miles away): Hear Rosenwald School Chair Willa Wyatt talk about the importance of the only remaining

Rosenwald School in NC, built in the early 1900s for the education of the Black students in the South.

? First Fridays in Downtown Mars Hill (approx. 10 miles away): Head over from 5pm to 8pm to check out the galleries, shops and special Vendor Village. There are also various performers on the street with music, cloggers and more not to mention a variety of restaurants.

Saturday, August 6th

Breakfast available on the island. Head over to the stage area for coffee, breakfast burritos (egg, potato and cheese) and baked goods available for purchase.

8am-12pm

Cycle NC Rider Services and Check-in Open Check-in and Rider Services will be open from 8am to 12pm on Blannahassett Island. You will receive your event wristband that must be worn at all times during the weekend when you check-in. You will also receive your official ride t-shirt.

CNC Mountain Ride Social Event The Cycle NC Mountain Ride Social for all registered participants will take place on Blannahassett Island in the auditorium at Marshall High Studios. The menu includes Homemade Beef Lasagna, Homemade Veggie Lasagna (zucchini, spinach and portobello mushrooms), Chicken Alfredo Penne Bake, Homemade Rolls, Salad, Watermelon plus Homemade Brownies and Lemon Bars for dessert. Free beer will be provided by Hi-Wire Brewing and there will also be tea and water available.

Cycle NC Check-in Rider Services Open Rider Services located at Blannahassett Island will be open until 10am. This is your last chance to purchase your Cycle NC Merchandise before you head home!

Cycle NC Routes Open All routes open at 8:00 am. All routes begin and end at on Blannahassett Island. Check your cue sheets for the opening and closing times for each rest stop. All routes close at 2:00pm.
