Mr. Strom: There are two bid waivers I want the board to know that are for Fiscal Year 2021, not this year. Both of the ones for Stryker/Physio Control.

Mr. Marchesi: Okay. The next meeting will be July 7 and we will probably have a number of bid waivers to start the new budget season, with blankets for a lot of departments so there may be a few more bid waivers than usual.

Mr. Ferri: Are both the Parks and Recreation bid waivers bonds?

Mr. Marchesi: Yes. The 203 account, Parks and Recreation bond.

Mr. Ferri: Why are we spending so much to spread mulch? Can we not spread it ourselves?

Mr. Marchesi: Per Tony Liberatore the price is mostly for the mulch itself, not the labor.

Mr. Ciambrone: How much mulch?

Mr. Ferri: 250 yards all together.

Mr. Mason: From what I understand it’s not your normal, everyday mulch Tony puts on the playgrounds. It needs to be specially formulated, insect free and hypoallergenic. It’s not the stuff you can just buy for $30 a yard.
