| |Green River Accounting course BA 110—Practical Financial Accounting 1. |

|Course Description: |Introductory course of Accounting 1 and 2 will cover the complete accounting cycle. The basic functions of |

| |analyzing, classifying, recording and summarizing accounting data are included. Topics include journals, |

| |ledgers, worksheets, adjusting entries, financial statement prep and payroll. Accounting simulations will |

| |provide “hands on” learning with business examples. Excel skills will be learned as it is a widely used software|

| |program in the Accounting field. Opportunity to obtain Microsoft Office Specialist 2010 certification in Excel. |

|Tests may be retaken if not met standard (80% and lower) and retaken within the week. All retakes must have coursework completed for the |

|chapter before retakes can be administered. Production tests may not be retaken in Accounting. |
